June challenge

for MAY .............. Shazza (Sharon Bishop)

and Mary Steinmetz will be a Guest Designer in August.
We had a tie this month.

Now the June challenge.

OUR JUNE CHALLENGE WILL CLOSE MIDNIGHT ON JULY 5TH.

This time we are going out to the garden with this picture
Wouldn't you love a green house like that?

THE EXTRA CRITERIA IS FRAMES

Our sponsor this month is Memory Maze chipboard

Now on to the Design Team's take on this picture
                                                         DALE

I have chosen to make my background the same grey woodgrain as the building.

Then I found some photos from a trip to the Bowling Alley in Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. The whole thing was made of wood. I wanted to use all brown tones with a touch of grey to match my photos. For the frame criteria I have used square frames made with square punches for my title.

I was inspired by the colours ,pink, green, and wood.
I have also used different texture stamps (wood) to create my background.

I was inspired by the wood grain and lines from the inspiration photo... and used wood grain patterned paper for my background as well as lined pp and tiny strips below the photo, which also represent lines.  I started with a large frame for the background which was double matted, then framed the photo several times using various sizes.  The chipboard page title (above the photo) was framed with a metal tag also.  Sketch is Page Maps.

Love the colours, white, teal and pink, reminded me of Heidi Swapp.
So I have used Heidi Swapp papers and embellishments and 2 frames

So off you go and find those frames to create your layout.
Remember it doesn't have to feature a building, so long as it has frames on it

I'm heading off to Canada and Alaska for 3 weeks but will have lots of new architectural photos when I return.

Let's chip it

I'm on Counterfeit Kit Challenges DT.
This weekend we have been having a wonderful world of colour celebration for International Scrapbooking day.
One of the posts was about finding your colours from a photo.
She recommended a site named Let's chip it by Sherwin Williams, which is too useful to keep a secret.

You load in any photo and it picks up the colours you can use to scrap the photo.

Here is this month's Archiscraps photo done that way.
I thought it might help you

REMEMBER THE EXTRA CRITERIA IS MISTING.

Perhaps one of your mists comes in these colours.
I would never have dreamed of using green with this.
