April Challenge

Our APRIL CHALLENGE is to use sewing.

It can be machine or hand sewing.

Yes, it is a real building!

Our winner for March was Judy Willey. could you please get in touch?

We have a sponsor for APRIL

Thank you Merrilyn for sponsoring us. You can find the shop here.
Welcome to our guest designer
"My name is Sherri Caramico, I live in New Jersey. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 34 years, and am the mother of 2 adult sons, and 2 young Portuguese Water Dogs. All of them are my favorite subjects! We love to travel and Disney Cruising and Disney Parks are our favorite way to vacation.  I started scrapping late in my children's lives, ( about 12 years ago,) and I know I will never get "caught up." I'm okay with that, as I like to scrap what I "feel like" scrapping, and love lots of layers, textures and "stuff" on my pages.  Scrapbooking has helped me to meet so many people that I now call my true friends. I love going on weekend scrapbook retreats with my scrappy friends, and creating and laughing together late into the night! I enjoy sharing my work, and hope I inspire others to think outside the box and encourage them just try a new technique or product. I believe there is no right or wrong, no good or bad in scrapbooking - everyone has their own personal "art" inside them." Don't be afraid to find yours!"

Here's her blog post for April

We would like to thank Jan Agnew who has left our DT.
We have replaced her with Brenda Caldow.
Now on to the design team's ideas for you.

February Challenge

Put some colour in your life!!
here's your chance to use all those odd colours you might have in your stash.
Our challenge is to USE LOTS OF COLOURS

So go mad with the colours. They don't have to be those in the picture.

Our prize this month is a selection of pattern papers, vellum and tags.

We have a guest Designer this month.

Hi!  My name is Jackie Edwards and I live in Southend-on-Sea, Essex in the UK.
I am a widow but have a wonderful daughter and three beautiful grandchildren who are mostly the subjects of my layouts.

I have been scrapping for about ten years now. I discovered scrapbooking when I was on holiday in America when my first Grandchild was about a year old and my style has changed many times over the years.  I am very lucky to have my own craft room and because I am now retired, I can scrap all day and not have to clear everything away!

I have always been involved with craft in some form – sewing, cross-stitch, cards, altered art (I love Tim Holtz!) but seem to return to scrapbooking every time.

I very much enjoy entering challenges because they give me the starting point for a layout, whether it’s a sketch or other criteria……..although the end result doesn’t always reflect the original design or intention! LOL
I don’t know what I would do now if I didn’t scrap!!!

I was very pleased to be asked to be GDT this month and hope that my layouts might give you some inspiration for this months challenges!
Here's her layout.

Here's what the Design Team have done to help inspire you.

I'm sure these will inspire you!
Looking forward to seeing your wonderful entries.
Our winner for January was Shazza Bishop.
